MTA
members
will
maintain a
high
standard of
practice
and
recognise
the
customers
right to
courteous
service at
all times.
MTA
members
will act
honestly
and fairly
in all his
dealings
with the
public and
will
conduct his
business
with the
highest
level of
skill and
integrity.
MTA
members
will price
goods and
services
fairly and
avoid
deceptive
pricing and
advertising
practices.
MTA
members
will, upon
request,
examine
your
vehicle and
return to
you a
diagnosis
of any
faults
detected,
together
with an
estimate of
the cost of
the
necessary
repairs.
MTA
members
will notify
the
customer in
advance of
any
dismantling
charges
necessary
to arrive
at an
estimate of
repairs and
inform the
customer if
the
estimate
does or
does not
include the
price of
parts.
MTA
members
will carry
out only
those
repairs
authorised
and
included in
the
estimate.
But if
during the
progress of
such work
further
defects are
detected
being
unrelated
to the
original
instructions,
then your
MTA member
will advise
the
customer of
such
defects and
may seek
the
customer's
permission
to carry
out the
additional
work,
either
immediately
or at some
future
date.
MTA
members
will
guarantee
repairs
(effected
by him)
against
failure due
to
defective
workmanship
or faulty
parts
(supplied
by him) for
a specific
number of
kilometres
or period
of time. If
for any
reason your
MTA member
considers
circumstances
preclude
him issuing
a
guarantee,
then he
will make
this fact
clear to
the
customer
prior to
his signing
of the job
sheet or
the
commencement
of any
work.
Any
guarantee
either
stated or
implied is
subject
always to
the
consumers
rights at
law. |
